Book Synopsis:

A BRILLIANT NEW PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA, FROM THE EBOOK-BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF CLOSE TO MEAND LYING TO YOU

WHAT HAPPENED TO JULIA BLAKE?

She was young and beautiful, married to a famous author. They were celebrating their anniversary at their stunning country estate. So why did Julia Blake walk out of her perfect life, apparently leaving no trace?

Seren, a junior reporter for the local paper, can’t believe her luck when she lands an exclusive with Julia’s husband, Max. But as Seren spends more time at the couple’s remote mansion, probing ever deeper into the case, dark questions await.

What was Julia really like, behind closed doors? Was her marriage to this brooding, secretive man as perfect as it seemed? And did she really mean to disappear that night – or was she murdered?

The Hidden Wife is available in ebook on the 31st March 2019 and in paperback on the 25th July 2019. You can pre-order your copy of both using the link below.

Review:

I was a huge fan of this author’s debut novel so I was very excited to be invited onto the blog tour for The Hidden Wife.

The storyline for this book was very intriguing and I soon found myself drawn into Julia and Serena’s lives. The author takes a little while to set the scene in this book which gives the reader plenty of time to get to know the characters and the situation they find themselves in which was very interesting.

The mystery of what happened to Julia was well developed and I had lots of ideas about what could have happened to her, none of which were right! It soon becomes apparent to the reader that nothing is as it seems which helped to provide lots of tension and suspense in the book as the reader tries to figure everything out.

It does take a little while for the story to get going but keep going as it soon turns into a fantastic read. I’m hoping that the author might be planning a sequel to this book as I really liked the characters and would like to read more about them.

Huge thanks to Anne Cater for inviting me onto the blog tour and to Headline for my copy of this book via Netgalley which I received in exchange for an honest review. If you like gripping suspense novels then you’ll love this book!
